City Hall Way to Remain Closed for the Next 3 Days

Police on Monday issued a notice on the closure of City Hall Way for three next days.

According to the police, the road will remain closed between 26th-28th of November 2018, to facilitate the Blue Economy Conference.

"We wish to notify motorists and the general public that City Hall Way shall remain closed to facilitate ease of movement for participants in the Conference.

City Hall Way connects Moi Avenue to Uhuru Highway extending back to Tom Mboya street.

It provides access to crucial installations including Nairobi County Headquarters at City Hall, KICC, The Supreme Court and connects to Harambee Avenue, Wabera Street, Taifa Road and Simba Street.

The Blue Economy Conference, which is being held at KICC, is expected to attract leaders from across the globe.

The Sustainable Blue Economy Conference, which is the first global conference on the sustainable blue economy, will host over 4,000 participants from around the world including representatives of the private sector and investors.

In its inaugural sitting, the blue economy conference will focus on creating economic growth, ensuring healthy waters and building safe communities.

The conference aims at discussing measures of harnessing the potential of our oceans, seas, lakes and rivers to improve the lives of all, particularly people in developing states, women, youth and Indigenous peoples.

Besides, the attendees are expected to learn how to leverage the latest innovations, scientific advances and best practices to build prosperity while conserving our waters for future generations.
