President Uhuru Kenyatta Pays Tribute to Dead US President George H. W. Bush

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday paid tribute to the late United States President George Herbert Walker Bush who passed away aged 94.

According to a statement from the President’s team, Uhuru stated that the world had lost a man he described as an astute statesman and public servant.

He further divulged that the former US President would be remembered for being committed to democracy and freedom as well as world peace and stability.

The 41st President of the United States has left behind a globally distinctive record in the military, international politics, business and family spheres all wrapped up in one,” stated Uhuru.

Several other world leaders have also eulogised the late US President, who was the father of the 43 US President, George W. Bush.

"George H.W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for," stated his son, President George Bush.

"George H.W. Bush's life is a testament to the notion that public service is a noble, joyous calling...It's a legacy of service that may never be matched, even though he'd want all of us to try," wrote President Barack Obama.

President Donald Trump described his commitment to faith and country as unwavering and his wit disarming.

"Through his essential authenticity, disarming wit, and unwavering commitment to faith, family, and country, President Bush inspired generations of his fellow Americans to public service," remarked President Trump.

His death was announced by his family on Friday night after his health had deteriorated.
