Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana Hosts Nordic Ambassadors

Makueni Governor, Kivutha Kibwana, is the man to watch for his continued development of his County with his recognition spreading far across the continent.

On Tuesday, the County boss, who has become the darling of most Kenyans for launching cost-friendly projects in the area, received dignitaries from four countries.

The four, Nordic Ambassadors from Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark had been impressed with his success at devolving services, prompting them to visit the county.

The ambassadors' visit aims at learning more about how to successfully implement and integrate devolution in the counties, something Kivutha is seemingly overperforming at.

“I'm honoured to host Nordic ambassadors @FinnishEmbNBO, @denmarkinkenya, @NorwayInKenya and @SwedeninKE who are in Makueni to learn about our devolution success stories,” read a tweet on his official Twitter account.

This comes days after Kivutha launched Makueni Mother and Child Hospital on December 6, 2018, the first public children’s clinic worth Kshs135 million.

The clinic also boasts of being the first public clinic with Aqua birth facilities and an ultramodern newborn unit with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with baby cots, incubators, and a phototherapy unit.

The project wowed Kenyans who urged other governors to borrow a leaf from him on how to best serve their electorate.

The governor later launched an ambitious Kshs750 billion project that will see Makueni residents enjoy a limitless supply of water.

The project will involve the construction of one mega, seven medium-sized and 41 small-sized dams that will be used to harvest, store and treat water.

Kibwana’s success has prompted Kenyans to endorse him for the 2022 presidential election bid.
