Gov Waititu Sends Moses Kuria's Brother John Ngigi on Compulsory Leave

Kiambu governor Ferdinard Waititu on Wednesday sent Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria Brother's John Ngigi Kuria home on compulsory leave.

Ngigi who serves as the Kiambu County Chief Officer Agriculture, Crop production, Irrigation and Marketing was made to proceed on his annual leave for 30 days.

"It has been noted that you have not taken your annual leave for some time due to the busy nature of your office.

"You are hereby therefore advised to proceed for your annual 30 days leave w.e.f (with effect from) Thursday 3rd January 2019," read the letter by the Governor.

Ngigi was further directed to hand over his duties to the Chief Officer - Livestock, Fisheries and Veterinary Services.

He is required to resume duty on Tuesday the 14th February 2019.

The letter circulated online eliciting reactions from a section of Kenyans with many opining that there was an underlying reason for the compulsory leave.

"Compulsory leave in the month of Jan? Nah!!! Give us a better reason nobody goes on leave in this month very rare, Governor we are in the 21st century for crying out loud," one user noted.

Some that the letter was the governor's way of indirectly hitting out at the Gatundu South MP.

"This one leaves lots to be desired, Moses Kuria's brother being the CEC in Kiambu, Babayao doing some technical knockout on Kuria through a brother, the weird county letterhead," another stated.
