Larry Madowo Reveals 8 Pseudo Accounts in His Name

Kenyan journalist and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Africa Business Editor, Larry Madowo, has issued a stern warning to fraudsters on social media conning in his name.

According to a post in his social media account, Madowo revealed that there were at least eight pseudo-Facebook accounts purporting to be him.

He stated that the pseudo-accounts allegedly run various schemes for scamming unsuspecting individuals.

Furthermore, he reiterated that any content he posted on his real account was legitimate and did not contain false information.

He went on to urge his followers to report the scammers immediately and report any such case.

"None of these are my Facebook accounts. I don’t run any money-making schemes and I would never ask you for money. I also don’t write clickbait content. Please unfriend and report them," Larry's post read.

In December last year, the celebrated anchor was named among the 100 most influential Africans by New African Magazine.

Prior to his resignation from NTV in March 2018, he hosted a popular Friday night show, The Trend, and also wrote a weekly column in the Daily Nation.

He previously worked for other major networks including KTN and CNBC Africa, specializing in current affairs, political interviews, and entertainment.
