Politicians Messages of Hope After Dusit D2 Hotel Attack at 14 Riverside

Politicians and leaders on Tuesday afternoon took to social media after a terror attack at Dusit D2 Hotel, Riverside.

The leaders gave messages of hope and sympathized with the victims of the attack linked to the Al-Shabaab terror group.

Among those who took to twitter was Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga who stated "May God protect all those at #Dusit D2 Hotel. God protect Kenya".

Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua also consoled Kenyans stating "Pray all will be well with you. God protect you and others".

Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege stated: "On my knees praying for my country".

Kisii Woman Representative Janet Ong'era added: "I pray for everyone at 14 Riverside Drive. I hope they will all be rescued safely. God Protect Our Country".

Gilgil MP Martha Wangari indicated "Let us all unite in prayers for all the affected at Dusit Hotel.

"Before you share any information ask yourself is it verified, is it necessary. To our media houses we hope we learnt from other experiences let us avoid sharing information with the attackers," she added.

On his part, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet issued a statement shortly after noting that the operation was ongoing.

IG Boinnet also indicated that the security agencies hoped to pacify the situation in the shortest time possible.
