NMG's Mildred Odira Goes Missing After Boarding Taxi

The family of a woman who works as a switchboard operator at Nation Media Group (NMG) has sought help in tracing her.

Nairobi News reports that Mildred Odira was last seen on Tuesday morning when she left her house in a taxi.

Guards at her residence in Karoibangi South narrated that the mother of one had ordered a taxi to Ruaraka Uhai Nema Hospital after falling ill the previous night.

Her sister, Maureen Anyango, stated that they had visited several hospitals to look for Odira but their efforts have been fruitless.

Anyango revealed that her sister was recently diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, and ulcers, adding that she last spoke to her on Monday.

Odira’s co-workers disclosed that they saw her last on Thursday and that she had taken off on Friday to seek treatment.

However, after visiting the hospital, doctors informed her that her blood pressure was too high and asked her to come back for more tests on Monday.

Anyango stated that she discovered her sister was missing when Odira’s son went to her house.

We saw her son come to our house in the morning and we asked him why he had not gone to school.

He then informed us that her mother had left very early in the morning and that is when we started inquiring about her whereabouts,” she narrated.

She then tried to call her but could not reach her. Anyango then went to her sister’s house where she was informed that a taxi driver had taken her to hospital.

The family then got in touch with the taxi driver who told them that he drove Odira to the hospital and left after 20 minutes.

However, CCTV footage shows him entering the hospital gate at 4:30 am and leaving at 5:57 am.
