Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa Sued by Niece

Michelle Nafuna, daughter of the late former Vice President Micheal Kijana Wamalwa has filed a suit seeking to block out Devolution and Planning CS Eugene Wamalwa and 11 other family members from her life.

In the suit, Michelle requested that a restraining order be issued against the CS and the 11 other members of her extended family citing death threats.

Michelle alleged that she had been receiving calls from anonymous people threatening her alongside Derek Mboya, her brother, for exposing the family’s property wrangles to the public.

This comes after the two siblings appeared on live TV claiming that they had been locked out of inheriting a share of their late father’s property.

They accused their other siblings Alice Muthoni Wamalwa, William Wamalwa (Junior), and William Wamalwa (Senior), of conspiring to throw them out of their late father’s house.

Michelle also alleged that she had to drop out of school since they could no longer access the benefits the late Kijana Wamalwa had left behind for them.

The other three siblings dismissed the claims alleging that Michelle and Derek just wanted to paint their family in bad light.

Michelle and Derek also accused their uncle of abandoning them after their parents died claiming that they would not have sought for help if he was there for them.

"We always get that question. What about your uncle? And I always tell people, if he was helping me, honestly, would I be here? If our uncle (CS Wamalwa) was who he would like people to think he is then as far as we are concerned we wouldn't be here talking to you right now,"  Derek stated in an interview with Citizen.

CS Eugene Wamalwa also dismissed the allegations as fake citing that the matter was already in court.

"That is a matter that is in court and is coming up on February 4, 2019, and I think its only then that Kenyans will know the truth,” Wamalwa stated.
