Woman Rep Gathoni Wa Muchomba Reveals She Has Been Getting Death Threats

Woman Rep Gathoni Wamuchomba on Wednesday stated that she has been receiving death threats.

Speaking during a presser on Wednesday, the lawmaker further divulged that she had reported the matter to the police.

The Kiambu legislator also addressed a leadership row in the county and accused Governor Ferdinand Waititu of deriding her and other leaders.

Her allegations come barely a day after Kiambu deputy governor James Nyoro accused Waititu of running a one-man show.

Nyoro threatened to move to court over what he described as "exclusion from the management of the county" adding he could not tolerate the frustrations any longer.

A source privy to inside information at the county who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke on Wednesday echoed Nyoro's sentiments, adding that the governor never avails himself to address issues raised by other elected leaders in the county.

"He runs a one-man show and he is never available during meetings where other elected leaders in the county are available to discuss any issues they might have," the source maintained.

"It's unfortunate he plays the cat and mouse game with them. He went to Del Monte to negotiate a deal which no one has any information on. Even the area MP was not informed of the deal yet it is affecting his people," he added.

According to the source, Woman Rep Wamuchomba has suspicions that the governor might have a hand in the threats she has been receiving lately.
