A man was arraigned in court after he reportedly locked his foreigner boss in the toilet and made away with Ksh1.5 million among other possessions.
Victor Okoth Ombewa allegedly locked his Pakistani boss Abdul Waheed and ran away with the money and his bag.
According to a police report, Waheed had left his bag under the care of the suspect before stepping into the washroom.
He, however, discovered that something was amiss when he tried to open the door only to discover it had been locked from outside.
He, subsequently, stayed in the toilet for close to one hour before someone else opened the door for him.
Ombewa was also nabbed with stolen goods that included a laptop, bag, keys, Pakistan passport, mobile phone, WI-Fi gadget and KRA PIN all valued at Ksh30,000.
He was arraigned in court and charged with stealing the money and all the other items.
He, however, pleaded not guilty and was released on a Ksh50,000 bond.
The matter is set for hearing on July 4 this year.
