Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been picked to represent the National Assembly in the Republic of Hungary.
Taking to Twitter, the controversial legislator explained that he was nominated by Speaker Justin Muturi.
He went on to add that it was such an honour to be selected for the trip which will last five days.
"The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon Justin Muturi has nominated me to represent the August House in an engagement with the Republic of Hungary.
"I welcomed this great honour as I depart for Budapest today evening for a five day official visit," Babu tweeted.
During the trip, the first-time legislator will meet the President of the Republic of Hungary Janos Ader.
He will also have a sit-down with the Speaker of the National Assembly Laslo Kover as well as Kenyans living in Hungary.
This announcement comes barely a fortnight after Muturi barred Babu from participating in the approval hearing for Education Cabinet Secretary nominee Professor George Magoha.
Muturi declared that Babu should have written to his office seeking permission to be incorporated in the session.
This writing should be delivered to the speaker 24 hours prior.
