Burial plans for Everline Namukhula have been suspended temporarily, Nation reports.
According to the publication, her burial has been pushed to give the county government more time to construct a house for her family.
Kakamega County Sports and Youths CEC Robert Makhanu explained that the local government was building a decent house for Namukhula's family and upgrading roads leading to her home in Sisokhe village.
Her three surviving babies will also be taken care of by the county government until they are 18 months old.
Namukhula died on Sunday, April 7, at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Reports by Citizen Digital indicated that she developed chest pains at 10 pm in the night and succumbed to her injuries hours later.
She came to the limelight after giving birth to quintuplets, three girls and two boys at the Kakamega General Hospital on March 13, 2019.
The mother of five was later transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after two of her children developed breathing complications.
The 28-year-old and her husband Herbert Wawire, already had four children, making the total number of children nine.
