NTV Journalist Who Attempted Suicide Twice

NTV journalist Grace Ekirapa narrated on Instagram that she has attempted suicide twice while she was in Class 8 and Form 3.

Ekirapa confessed that her teenage life was filled with a lot of negativity that led to depression.

She revealed that the first time she attempted suicide, she swallowed 18 antibiotic pills but she did not die.

“A lot of people don’t know this, but when I was in class eight, I attempted suicide. I took 18 pills because I was unwell and at one time I got to a point and said you know what I’m going to take them all the medicine that I had18 pills," she narrated.

In her second attempt, Ekirapa stated that she swallowed 35 pills but still did not die.

"Form three again I decided I’m going to do the same and I took 35 pills this time, because 18 didn’t kill me so 35 will, and you know what people did not understand why a 17-year-old would be committing suicide, a 14-year-old would commit suicide,” she continued.

She was narrating this in a video while talking to her fans about depression and the lengths it can cause one to go.

"Suicide will rob you of the opportunities, potential and the many doors that are ahead of you," she stated.

Ekirapa added that she was against suicide because if she had killed herself, people would have missed on the many things that God had done in her life.
