Milele FM boss Alex Mwakideu is in mourning after losing his mother on Tuesday.
The sad news was shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday morning.
During the Milele Breakfast show, his show co-host Jalang’o also informed their listeners on why Mwakideu had not reported to work.
“For the first time, I’m lost, totally lost. Totally. I don't know what to type, what to do, where to start. I’m lost. I will miss you, mom. I will miss you so much and will love you forever. Thank you for being the best mom ever,” Mwakideu wrote on Instagram.
Jalang’o was also quick to offer his co-host a shoulder to cry on by responding, “God above everything my brother.”
He disclosed that Mwakideu’s mother, who had been ailing for some time now, passed on at around 3 pm on Tuesday.
“Good morning! Let's roll! Holding the show together with my brother. Send your prayers to my boss and brother Alex Mwakideu who lost the mum last night! Sad morning but we thank God!,” Jalang’o wrote on his Instagram
Mwakideu also had lost his sister who died in January 2019.
"I just don't have words to write. But still, I am grateful to God for the time you were with us. I will miss you so much. Rest with the Angels my sister Emmy Mwakideu," he wrote on Facebook then.
Mwakideu's sister Emmy Godin was a recording artist with songs such as Closer and Good Times.
She succumbed to cancer after being diagnosed in 2017.
