Bishop Kiuna's Son Receives Standing Ovation at Manchester High School

Bishop Allan and Reverend Kathy Kiuna’s son graduated from high school in the UK, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd as he picked his certificate.

Jeremy was welcomed to the podium with cheers and screams which to Kathy (her mother) elicited all kind of feelings as she narrated.

Jeremy was a student at the New Manchester High School.

The Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) power couple were delighted when their son received a standing ovation from his schoolmates and all those who attended the ceremony.

Kathy managed to capture the priceless moment in a video recording shared on her social media, accompanied by a moving caption thanking God for the far her son Jeremy had come.

My boy y’all. The graduation was too awesome. To see them give him a standing ovation brought all sorts of feelings. For a boy who was born at 6 months and could fit on the palm of my hand, to come this far by God’s grace? How can I have enough words to express my gratitude? Only God. Only God. Only God could do this. Gloooooory,” Kathy wrote.

Jeremy, who walks with the assistance of crutches, was born three months premature and weighed only a mere 1.1kgs.

When he turned 18, his mother took to social media to narrate the difficulty she went through when her son was born.

My son was born prematurely at 6 months at only 1.1kg. He was anemic and went through a blood transfusion in his tiny frame. He was covered in pipes from his head all the way down and we couldn’t see his face. Looking at his little body there seemed to be no hope. He was born a fighter though and no matter what was thrown at him he always fought back and surprised all of us including the doctors,” she narrated.

Kathy also described her son as perfectly healthy, having risen above all the challenges and described him as an extremely sharp all A student.
