Ruto's Generous Payment Makes Woman Kneel in Tears [VIDEO]

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday made an impromptu visit to a woman who was roasting maize by the roadside at Dagoretti South Constituency, Nairobi.

He had just come from attending a church service at Revival Sanctuary of Glory Church in Riruta.

The DP walked over to the lady, greeted her and bought some of the maize she was roasting.

Ruto then proceeded to pay for the maize, with a bundle of cash. A count conducted by keen-eyed Kenyans.co.ke team showed that Ruto gave more than seven notes of a denomination which we can assume was Ksh 1,000 notes.

Overwhelmed by Ruto's generous gesture, she knelt down shedding tears of joy as the DP tried pulling her back up.

He then went ahead to invite the crowd of people that had now gathered to also eat the roasted maize he bought.

The DP seemed to have been in a mood to interact with citizens because earlier in the day, he visited a kibanda (food kiosk) in Nyandarua County for some tea.

"A cup of tea and mandazi came in handy to beat the famed chilly weather of Nyandarua County," he commented.

In Nyandarua, he attended a Sunday service at Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) Kasuku.
