Watch as Kawangware Man Charms His Way Into Ruto's Pockets

A vocal man in Kawangware on Sunday managed to charm into Deputy President William Ruto's pockets after he wowed him.

A video seen by Kenyans.co.ke shows the DP calling him from a crowd of people and issuing him with a microphone, after which he pumps up the crowd.

"Tunasema 2022, vijana wote ndio watasimama, hatutaki wazee tumechoka na wazee (We are declaring that in 2022, the youth will run for electoral positions, we are tired of the old people).

"Sasa awache ametubariki tu (Let him(Ruto) bless us now)," the man stated.

The deputy president is then seen picking a white envelope from his vehicle and joking a bit about what kind of blessings the man would want.

"Ati niwache nimefanya nini? Baraka ya aina gani? Niwaombee ama? (What kind of blessings do you want me to leave you? Should I pray for you?" he enquires jokingly.

He then issues the man with a white envelope which most probably contains money.

Earlier the same day, Ruto made an impromptu visit to a woman who was roasting maize by the roadside in Dagoretti South Constituency, Nairobi.

He walked over to the lady, greeted her and bought some of the maize she was roasting with several Ksh 1,000 notes.

Overwhelmed by Ruto's generous gesture, she knelt down shedding tears of joy as the DP tried pulling her back up.
