Police Nab Tycoon Involved in Gun Drama

Police, on Thursday, arrested a Tycoon businessman over a shooting incident in the outskirts of Naivasha town.

Evans Kageche was arrested after he brandished his pistol and shot in the air forcing five guards to scamper for safety.

The drama occurred at a farm that is located a few kilometres outside the lakeside town where a lot of the five-star hotels in the area are located.

The land is said to have a recorded court dispute.

"We managed to arrest the tycoon moments after the gun drama and he is scheduled to appear in court," reported the Naivasha Sub-County police commander Samuel Waweru.

Reports by Nation indicated that Kageche was accused of shooting into the air as the panicky lot fled to ensure that no one was left in the vast farm.

Waweru also added that no one was injured in the incident but the guards were too scared to return to the duty post.

"We had to assure them of their security before they agreed to go back to work," added Waweru.

He further explained that the land was at the center of a protracted ownership dispute with the matter still pending in court.

The farm was also earmarked for construction of high-end homes but the project was put on hold due to the ongoing litigation.

The police boss also warned that it was wrong for the businessman to seek to take control of the farm forcefully.
