Uhuru's Cousin Dragged Into Maribe & Jowie's Murder Trial

President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin John Muhoho's name cropped up during the Monica Kimani's murder trial in which Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe and her ex-fiancee Jowie Irungu are implicated in.

According to a report by The Star, a statement by a witness identified as Brian Kasaine insinuated that Muhoho was in communication with Jowie and that he might have stabbed someone.

In a detailed court narration, Kasaine, who was a neighbour to Jowie and Maribe, further added that he had gone to Jowie's house to borrow a car so he could get his kids from school when he jokingly wondered why Irungu was looking for paraffin at midnight.

"He replied, 'tulikuwa job fulani na Mo-Muhoho na nikama alidunga mtu kisu' (I was with Mo-Muhoho yesterday for an assignment and he stabbed somebody)," he revealed in the statement.

Towards the end of his testimony, Kasaine clarified that the Muhoho he had referred to earlier was John Muhoho, who was a friend of Jowie's.

"When Joseph Kuria told me as follows, 'tulikuwa job Fulani na Mo-Muhoho na nikama alidunga mtu kisu' (I was with Mo-Muhoho yesterday for an assignment and he stabbed somebody) - he was referring to John Muhoho who is a close friend of his," continued Kasaine.

John Muhoho is the son of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) chairman George Muhoho who is Uhuru's uncle.

Kasaine also narrated the happenings of September 20, 2018, when the police believe Jowie tried to destroy evidence.

"He was shouting at his fiancée Jacque Maribe immediately he saw her there saying 'you want me out of your house, it is fine, bury me in Lang'ata' then went quiet. Jacqueline didn't answer him," he continued.

Kasaine had been also arrested and then released in connection with the murder.
