Senator Attacked With Sonko's Daughter Warms Kenyans' Hearts With Comeback Message

Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip melted Kenyans after posting his recovery message on Facebook following an attack at Memphis Lounge in Kasarani three weeks ago.

The youthful legislator was in the company of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko's daughter during the incident. He was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital where he was admitted after sustaining serious injuries in the melee that ensued.

He claimed that he was heading out of the building with Sonko’s daughter who asked to visit the washrooms when a gang armed with blunt objects, pounced on him and beat him up.

A security guard, David Kombo has since appeared in court to answer to charges of assaulting the senator and Saumu but he denied the crime and was set free on a Ksh 30,000 bail.

The Facebook post by the youthful legislator was directed to all his friends and foes.

"ALHAMDHULILAH!! Am Back to my Feet Again..it's Another Monday and Another Day that one should be Grateful To..To All my Enemies I Love you All, to my Friends and Family thanks for Standing with Me. BACK TO OFFICE!!. KAZI IENDELEE!!.A SOLDIER IS ALWAYS A SOLDIER [sic]!"

Netizens did not take long to post their heartfelt messages with many stating that they were relieved that the senator was fully back on his feet.

A user by the name Wakili Oduol Aluoch, however, questioned the legislator's performance in the Senate following the recent report tabled on the performance of MPs and senators in the nation.

"Mungu ni mwema (God is good). However, am concerned my brother that you were ranked amongst the worst performing Legislators," his comment read.

Another user advised the senator to prioritize his security.

"I advise you brother that from now on make your security a priority since it seems kuna watu hawakutaki mazuri (there are people planning evil against you) always be extra vigil brother. ..may Allah watches over you. .Our next GOVERNOR".

Jeremy Kabz also had words for Mr. Loitiptip, "Welcome back mhesh. God bless you and protect you all time."
