AP Officer Butchered Months After Wife's Fatal Shooting

The body of an Administration Police officer attached to Kotulo police station, Wajir County, was found lying by the side of Londiani-Muhuroni road at 3am on Wednesday.

It is claimed that the death of Justus Too came several months after his pregnant wife was shot dead in unclear circumstances.

At first sight, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) thought that the death had been caused by a road accident.

However, further investigations pointed to murder rather than an accident, The Standard reported.

"The deceased's body had multiple stab wounds on the neck and had been assaulted by use of a blunt object," Stephen Magwe, a detective noted.

He also disclosed that the deceased's body had bruises on the thighs and could have been dragged for about 40 meters to where it had been found.

"This means that the deceased had been killed elsewhere and dragged to the road to make it look like it was a road accident," he divulged.

It is alleged that Too had been granted leave at the time of his demise and was spending it at his home village in Kaplaba West constituency.
