Ethic Music Group Members Hospitalised After Fight Erupts at Event [VIDEO]

Members of Ethic music group were hospitalised on Saturday night after they were involved in a fight that happened at an event they were headlining.

According to Rekles, one of the group members, the security team at Koroga Festival descended on some of his colleagues and left them nursing injuries.

While it was not clear which hospital they sought treatment, a video of some of the group members being attended to surfaced online.

"As we speak four of our members including our Dj, hypeman, Zilla and our driver are all in hospital, brutally injured by guards from the K9 security company and other festival organizers," read a statement from Ethic.

Though the group didn’t reveal the cause behind the fight they cried out and stated that they are going to file a case and demand for compensation from the Koroga Festival organisers and K9 Security.

"We want to state that we will be seeking legal redress as we need due compensation from Koroga and K9 security group for our medical bills et al," the team vowed.

The incident has sparked outrage on Twitter where it became a trending topic.

"Seeing a member of Ethic writhing in pain is disheartening. Acha sheria itambe, hao vijana wa umo lazima waheshimiwe (Let the law take its course, those young men from Umoja estate have to be respected)," posted Kelvin Opere.

"What is that woman doing? Why is she searching him? Zilla is clearly in pain but she's more concerned with being recorded?" commented Kavuzi on one of the videos.

"The Kenyan music industry has come a very long way and it should no longer be characterised by such incidences of victimisation! What happened to Ethic is wrong and should not happen to anyone!" wrote Billy Miya.

Kenyans.co.ke reached out to Head of Events at Capital FM Mike Wekesa who declined to comment.
