Kibra MP Ken Okoth Back in Kenya

Kibra Member of Parliament, Ken Okoth, jetted back into the country over the weekend as he spotted at the annual Kibra Music Festival on Sunday.

The annual gala attracts learners from Early Childhood Development (ECD), Primary and Secondary schools, with winners gifted cash prizes as well as certificates.

He went on to address the people in attendance, going on to thank Nairobi, Senator Johnson Sakaja, for stepping up for him and ensuring his various projects took off during his absence.

"Our children have immeasurable talent; it's a joy to give them a platform to showcase these talents on stage through song, dance, and poetry," Ken Okoth remarked.

Okoth, who looked to be in high-spirits, went on to castigate the warring factions of Kieleweke and Tanga tanga groups, going on to urge his fellow leaders to focus on development projects that would better the lives of ordinary citizens.

The Kibra MP was accompanied by Sakaja during his first public appearance back in the country following his extended medical trip to France, after being diagnosed with colorectal Cancer.

In February this year, Okoth revealed his Cancer diagnosis saying the condition was discovered late and that it could not be cured but only managed

"Joined my brother and the people of Kibra for an exciting Music Festival earlier today. Welcome back home bro and thanks for the amazing job you and your team have been doing," Sakaja tweeted.

Despite his five-month absence, the charismatic MP had been constantly updating his constituents on his medical condition, as well as participated in his constituency's development matters.

In February this year, the brave legislator revealed his Cancer diagnosis to the public, adding that the condition was discovered late and thus it could only be managed.

Since his diagnosis, Okoth's courage and a smile have been an ever-present feature on his face, with countless leaders affirming that they had drawn a lot of inspiration from him.
