Lonyangapuo Takes Swipe at CS Magoha With Hilarious Comment

West Pokot Governor, John Lonyangapuo, has taken a swipe on Education CS George Magoha over the new Competency-Based Curriculum.

The governor stated that the process was rushed, adding that a lot of resources and retrials were required for any country to change the curriculum.

"It takes a lot of time, four, five or ten years to educate the people through resources and retrials," he stated.

Lonyangapuo added that the education ministry had just decided to dump the new curriculum on Kenyans as captured in a video by Daily Nation.

The county boss compared the rate at which the education system was changing to how human beings change their clothes.

"The first education system lasted for 22 years, the second one for 35 years and now the rate at which Kenya is changing education system is like changing clothes," he noted.

He further urged the government not to adopt a system, just because it had worked in another country.

The Ministry of Education officially launched the nationwide counties' discussions and debates on the newly rolled out curriculum for the students in the nation, on July 15, 2019.
