Jacque Maribe in Mourning

Former Citizen TV news anchor, Jacque Maribe, is in mourning after the loss of a close relative.

The embattled journalist lost her aunt who was laid to rest.

The sad news was broken by the media personality's sister, identified as Cate, who posted photos of her emotional family members on Instagram.

“Family is everything, we stand out and stand strong," read Cate's caption.

Rest in peace tata, we shall miss you,” Cate added while paying her last respects.

The solemn photos of the family during the burial showed an emotional Jacque Maribe being consoled by close relatives.

Maribe resigned from her coveted media job, after being asked to quit by her bosses.

A well-informed source from the station divulged that Maribe had requested to be excused from work on July 3, over what she termed as 'personal reasons'.

However, later that day, a photo of her and Secretary Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications, Dennis Itumbi, who was facing charges in connection to Deputy President William Ruto's alleged assassination plot, surfaced online.

The two took pictures at the Muthaiga Police Station.

Maribe, alongside Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, was charged with the murder of Monica Kimani at Lamuria Gardens apartment, in Kilimani Estate.
