CCTV Captures Moment Lorry Ploughed Into Unsuspecting Pedestrian

A CCTV camera from a building on the roadside captured a gory moment when a lorry crashed into an unsuspecting pedestrian.

The traffic accident occurred on Thursday evening, at Chepkolon area, along the Kericho-Kisumu Road.

According to a police report, Alfred Langat, the driver of a Scania trailer, made a right-turn to deliver cement at nearby hardware, thereby blocking the road.

This forced another driver, Gilbert Ngetich, who was behind the wheel of an Isuzu Canter, to swerve to the wrong side of the road, thereby hitting and seriously injuring a pedestrian before eventually colliding with the Scania truck.

The Isuzu Canter finally hit and rested on a stationary Isuzu lorry, which was parked in front of the hardware.

The injured pedestrian was identified as Daniel Kipchirchir, a 16-year-old.

He was rushed and admitted at Tenwek Hospital, with serious head injuries.

Police visited the scene of the accident, which was four kilometers away from the nearest police station.

In consideration of media ethics, the video could not be uploaded.
