Octopizzo Roasted Over Fancy New Hairstyle

Popular Kenyan rapper, Henry Ohanga alias Octopizzo, was the subject of hilarious social media posts over the weekend.

This was after the Oliel hitmaker appeared on Citizen TV's 10 over 10 show, on Saturday night, with his styled in a design mostly associated with young school girls.

During the show hosted by Willis Raburu, netizens just coudn't take their eyes of his bold hairstyle, claiming that it was mostly associated with young school girls.

"Nywele ya Octo inakaa ya powerpuff girls, loosely translating to, Octopizzo looks like one of the powerpuff girls in his newstyle," one user posted.

The famous rapper addressed various issues including the recent controversial payments made to Kenyan artistes by the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).

Many artistes took to social media to air their frustration to the body in charge of collecting royalties in public performance and broadcasting, on behalf of its members and to distribute the same.

"kuna doo ingine inaitwa generel distribution, which inamaanisha kama wewe ni member, haimaanishi kama ngoma yako ilichezwa kwa workshop, ni kama per diem ya workshop. Kama uliregister, unapata kitu, nikama transport, loosely translating to, the money they are talking about is called general distribution, as a member one is entitled to the payment (eg per diem), which is in no way linked to a songs' rotation on the radio.

On the other hand, MCSK explained that they have not received any money from any broadcasters who exploit local music adding that the best way was to do a general distribution.

“We made a general distribution because if we strictly followed scientific distribution then 70% of the money collected will be paid to the international societies. We all know that Kenyan music receives little airplay," MCSK tweeted.

Despite his insightful remarks, Kenyans just couldn't shake off his new hairstyle, going on to make some hilarious comments.
