Police Impostors Steal Ksh 72M From G4S Car

On Thursday morning, thieves posing as police officers made away with Ksh 72 million.

It is alleged that the impostors stole the money from G4S personnel and an ATM belonging to Standard Chartered Bank in Nairobi West.

According to Daily Nation, police officers stated that part of the money was stolen, while being transported in a van by G4S employees.

It is alleged that the G4S personnel had collected the money from their headquarters on Witu road when the regrettable incident occurred.

The money was being ferried to StanChart in Nairobi West.

The G4S employees left in two vehicles with men thought to be cash-in-transit officers escorting them.

On reaching Nairobi West, however, the police impostors turned out to be thieves and demanded part of the money.

They went ahead and demanded for StanChart's ATM passwords and withdrew more money.
