Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), on Sunday, September 8, pounced on Nairobi's most wanted criminal.
In a calculated move, the officers arrested the criminal, identified as Ali Abdalla Abdillatif alias Bliza Bliza, in Eastleigh under the full glare of the town's residents.
Taking to social media, DCI disclosed that they were working on information arising from a tip-off by members of the public.
Abdillatiff was arrested while in the company of his colleague Daniel Muigai Nganga, 25.
"Detectives acting on information have today arrested, 23, Ali Abdalla Abdillatif alias Bliza Bliza- a most wanted criminal from Kisauni, Mombasa.
"He was arrested at 11th Street, Eastleigh together with 25-year-old Daniel Muigai Nganga. Both in custody awaiting further police action," read a statement from DCI.
On Saturday, September 1, three of the most wanted gang members of a notorious carjacking syndicate were arrested following a covert night raid.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), traced the trio to their den at West View Plaza in Kahawa West, Nairobi.
The suspects were believed to be behind a string of robberies in Kasarani and Roysambu.
"Several items were confiscated during the operation by DCI detectives based at Kasarani, including a Toyota Probox, phones, several SIM cards and assorted psychotropic drugs," DCI tweeted at the time.
