Defiant TV Pastor Slams Uhuru in Defence of Ruto

Pastor Godfrey Migwi who is a regular guest on TV stations has slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta of not guiding Central Kenya leaders, resulting in the split within the ruling party.

Taking to Facebook on September 10, 2019, he also accused the head of state of doublespeak and openly condemning politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

“In one of the meetings in Muranga, Hon.Ndindi asked Uhuru politely to help build a class or donate a bus to a certain school. Uhuru responded arrogantly that Ndindi should use CDF.

“We saw the same Uhuru donating Ksh1 million then urged the government to add Ksh10 million to a school in Kwale to build new classes. Why didn't he ask them to use CDF?” wondered Migwi.

He went on to remind the president that power doesn’t last forever, adding that support from ODM leader Raila Odinga was also temporary.

Migwi also addressed the recent drama that unfolded following the chaos witnessed at  Gitui Catholic Church in Murang' a County on Sunday, September 8.

“In disregard and disrespect to the local MP and protocol, they staged a church harambee in Kiharu and Uhuru sent Ksh1 million with Kamanda and a troop of other MPs who have been undermining DP Ruto and Ndindi in Central Kenya.

It is obvious, all this was planned to undermine MPNdindi in his constituency, but people have refused,” expressed the preacher.

Pastor Migwi’s political stand has landed him in trouble. In June 2019, it was reported that he was made to quit MediaMax-owned Kameme FM.

In a fiery defence of Deputy President (DP) William Ruto, the founder and spiritual father at House of Hope Church Kayole, Nairobi, declared that despite Uhuru's newfound alliance with ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, the people of Mt Kenya would not be bullied into backing anyone.

Pastor Migwi went on to warn the president to avoid talking to his elders in anger lest they decide to turn their back on him.

He further cautioned Uhuru to get a grip of his anger as his words resonated with a lot of people across the country.

Sources had it that his harsh criticism of the president did not go down well with his bosses and he had no option but to quit.
