NTV's Jane Ngoiri Messes Up Popular Song in Hilarious Video

Arguably, the best part about jamming out to our favourite songs is getting to that catchy hook and we’ve all been guilty of fluffing the lines a time or two, a phenom referred to as mondegreen.

Well, the highly-rated NTV Kiswahili news anchor and reporter, Jane Ngoiri, shared a hilarious video of herself singing alongside Genge artist Jua Cali, at the NTV studios.

The duo jammed along to the veteran musician's Kwaheri song on Friday, September 20, and it was during the hook - sang by songstress Sanaipei Tande, that the cheery presenter got into her element.

Despite fluffing her lines, Ngoiri kept going, occasionally shouting out the words she was sure of, at the top of her lungs.

She went on to share the funny clip on her Instagram page, adding jokingly that her musical prowess was unmatched.

"Sanaipei Tande has nothing on me....muziki umeenda shule [great music]," she captioned the video.

Dubbed the King of Genge, the legendary rapper was at NTV to promote his new project featuring the new age of Gengetone rappers Swat of Ethic and Odi wa Murang’a from the Boondocks Gang.

The trio teamed up in a track dubbed ‘Wale Mang’aa’, the 13th track off his newly-released album ‘Mali ya Umma’.
