Babu Owino Responds to Jaguar's Fist Fight Call-out

Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili aka Babu Owino on Monday, September 23, responded to Starehe MP Charles Njagua aka Jaguar's public threat to fight him.

Through his Facebook account, Babu Owino acknowledged the remarks by the Jubilee MP adding that he would not engage in a fight.

"Ati commander wa Starehe alisema nini? Mimi nguvu yangu nitaitumia kwa kupigania walionichagua, vijana wenzangu na wanyonge katika jamii (What did the Starehe MP say? I will not engage in such petty altercations. I shall use my energy to fight for those who elected me, the youth and those in need in the society)" he declared.

"

His comments come after Jaguar, on Sunday, September 22, publicly asked Deputy President William Ruto to allow him to beat Babu Owino.

Speaking to residents in Kayole, the former musician explained that he needed to teach Owino a lesson for insulting the DP.

He further argued that it was not proper for younger leaders to disrespect their seniors and that all he needed was to fight Owino again for the lesson to properly sink in.

Ruto, together with nominated Senator Millicent Omanga, were present at the gathering as Jaguar gave the address.

"I am the elected MP from Starehe and I want to tell you that we love you and we shall serve you to ensure that you represent Nairobi youth. We also do not want politics full of insults.

"Your excellency there is a young boy called Babu Owino who insulted you recently. I am asking your permission to let me beat up that boy again and embarrass him, your excellency," begged Jaguar.

"

On Tuesday, September 18, Babu Owino declared that Ruto needed to respect Odinga and the ODM party as he once belonged to the outfit.

"The party has built Ruto and it is contemptuous of him to come and challenge us now. He believes that now he is big enough to challenge Raila," he stated.
