Chattan Vyas, a general manager at Rai Cement Limited, was on Sunday, September 22, murdered in cold blood.
Reports by K24 Digital indicated that unknown men tied his hands, legs and later strangled him.
The tycoon's househelp, who had gone to serve him breakfast, was the one who discovered the gruesome murder.
Kericho Deputy County Police Commander, Patricia Nasio, stated that the three men accessed the tycoon's house through the roof.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that the killers climbed up the roof of Chattan’s house, removed the roofing tiles, jumped into the kitchen and, thereafter, went into his bedroom, where they tortured and killed the victim,” Nasio told the publication.
Further, Nasio revealed that the police were looking at cameras installed in the house, to source for information.
“We will examine CCTV footage mounted in the house to try to identify the three suspects whose motive for the killing remains unknown,” she added.
In a similar incident that has been making headlines, a dutch tycoon's body was found on Friday, September 13, buried in his home.
The body had been found more than 60 days after Tob Cohen, the dutch tycoon, was reported missing.
"Cohen was murdered in his own residence. It is a gruesome murder. They took their time to kill innocent Cohen. I will not describe much now, but in the subsequent unfolding of events," DCI boss George Kinoti told the press.
