CCTV Footage Exposes Suspects in Tycoon's Brutal Murder Case

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), on Wednesday, September 25, uncovered CCTV footage that exposed three suspects in Rai Cement tycoon, Chetan Vyas murder.

In a report ran by Daily Nation, the three suspects were captured breaking into Vyas' house a few moments before he was found murdered.

The body of the tycoon was, on Sunday, September 22, found strangled by unknown men who also tied his hands and legs.

Based on the information, the detectives launched a manhunt for the three suspects who are believed to have executed the heinous act.

The businessman was found in the bedroom of his house located within the factory in Sigowet/Soin sub county.

He was discovered by his help who had gone to serve him breakfast that morning.

Confirming the incident, Kericho Deputy County Police Commander, Patricia Nasio, had stated that the three men had accessed the tycoon's house through the roof.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that the killers climbed up the roof of Chattan’s house, removed the roofing tiles, jumped into the kitchen and, thereafter, went into his bedroom, where they tortured and killed the victim,” confirmed Nasio.

Further, Nasio revealed that the police would be retrieving footage from cameras installed in the house.

“We will examine CCTV footage mounted in the house to try to identify the three suspects whose motive for the killing remains unknown,” she added.
