Uhuru's Niece Surprises Popular Musician With Special Birthday Gift  [VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta's niece Nana Gecaga's special birthday surprise gift to a popular secular musician, Gilad Millo, caught him by surprise.

Gilad an Israeli national was celebrating his birthday and K24 TV anchor Betty Kyallo had reached out to Gecaga, the CEO of Kenyatta International Convention Centre to allow her to take Gilad to KICC rooftop for a tour.

"I have never been on the rooftop of KICC and it would be an awesome trip," Gilad, the 'Mpenzi' hitmaker stated as he appreciated Gecaga's gesture.

"We have 28 floors, you are walking and I will ensure that. Happy birthday," Gecaga joked. 

Gilad also known as 'Balozi wa Mapenzi', is a former Israeli Deputy ambassador.

The 'Unajua' hitmaker reiterated his love for Kenya and revealed that he had applied for Kenyan citizenship.

"I love Kenya and the fact that people love my songs, know the words and connect with it. I love it when my songs have an impact on the fans," the father of two stated. 

He also disclosed that he lived a simple life and being a celebrity does not entail one being proud and arrogant.

"I came from corporate to music. I took a downgrade in my income, which is fine. I don't need fancy cars and flashy lifestyle.

"My wife and I moved into the apartment from a bungalow that had 10 rooms. It was my choice," he stated. 

On Thursday, September 19, Gecaga was embroiled in a saga over the misuse of public funds and issuance of irregular tenders at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). 

According to People DailyNana Gechaga, the KICC chief executive, was summoned by the Parliamentary Public Investments Committee (PIC) on Thursday, September 19, to explain misappropriation of funds amounting to Ksh15 million.
