Ruto Ally Rants Over CS Magoha's Drastic Measures [VIDEO]

Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa criticised Education CS George Magoha on Saturday, October 5, over the closure of schools around the country after a classroom collapsed in Nairobi.

Barasa, who was speaking at a function in his constituency, accused the CS of reacting rather than acting to the tragedy at Precious Talent School in Dagoretti, Nairobi.

He stated that Magoha should wake up and move with speed to correct the mess in the sector to prevent loss of lives.

"The Education Ministry, under the leadership of our able Professor Magoha, should wake up and move with speed to correct the mess because it's not the duty of the students or teachers to build classrooms. It's the mandate of the Kenyan government," Barasa tweeted.

He further noted that by closing the schools, the CS was penalising the children and in the same action, failing in the role given to him by the government.

"When you close the schools, you are just punishing the children of this country and even showing that you have failed terribly in ensuring that the children were learning in a safe place," the MP added.

He further adviced the CS on how to deal with the schools that had unfit classes.

"If you find a school unfit for pupils, instead of shutting it down, let them learn under a tree as the government plans to build the classes," he ranted.

The legislator took pride in the fact that in his constituency, none of the schools had been closed, proving that they had worked well on infrastructure.
