Eager Children Brave Rain and Mud to Entertain Ruto [VIDEO]

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday, October 5, 2019, travelled to Catholic Mission Hospital in Wamba, Samburu County, and joined residents and the Christian fraternity for their Golden Jubilee celebrations.

In what could be interpreted as a sign of blessing, a downpour began while the function was still underway.

The congregants we unnerved as they sang songs of worship in the rain wading through the mud as Ruto enjoyed the performances from inside a tent.

The performers ranged from school-going children who wore colourful matching costumes to adults who were clad in blue polo shirts and black trousers.

The little ones chose to showcase their dance moves barefoot, weary of the mud that could have caused some of them to slip and fall.

Ruto applauded Wamba Catholic Church for offering stellar, wide range quality and integrative healthcare services to the people of Samburu County.

"The involvement of the church in healthcare has a rich history, making it among the largest non-governmental providers of medical care services globally," Ruto stated.

"You have done a good job for the last 50 years and I want to commit it is going to be a partnership between Catholic Mission in Wamba, the County Government of Samburu and the National Government of Kenya, to make sure that this hospital continues to serve humanity and provide quality health service for the people of this county and region," he assured.
