Watch Kipchoge & Passaris Get Down at Joho's Lavish Party

 A video of Eliud Kipchoge dancing at a party that was hosted by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho excited netizens on Sunday, October 20.

The 34-year-old athlete, who made history on Saturday, October 12, after running a marathon in less than two hours, was among the people who converged at Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort ahead of the Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The attendees ate, drank and socialized before taking to the dance floor.

A 30-second clip has gone viral online shows Kipchoge, Joho, Brigid Kosgei, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo dancing to 'Tushangilie Kenya'.

A report by The Standard incicated that the guests partied until the wee hours.

Kipchoge caused a lot of speculation after jetting into Mombasa on Saturday, October 19. The celebrated athlete was flown from Eldoret by the Kenya Forest Service (KFS)

Through its Twitter page, KFS revealed that they had the honour of flying the celebrated marathoner to the Coastal city, adding that he often trains at Kaptagat Forest. 

While it was not immediately clear why Kipchoge had flown to Mombasa, netizens couldn't help but speculate.

This year's Mashujaa Day celebrations will be held Waterfront Park in Mombasa and during the event, Kenyans who have made great strides in different fields are feted.

As such, social media users were left wondering if he was going to be given a Head of State Commendation (HSC) by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
