Raila's Aide Mocks Ruto & Mariga Over Attack in Kibra [VIDEO]

Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, on Sunday, October 20, ridiculed Jubilee Party candidate for the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga after his convoy was pelted with stones while they were heading to a rally.

While addressing a rally at Kamukuji Grounds, the outspoken legislator explained that the residents were just greeting them.

"A few days ago, this man called Ruto, Lang'ata MP Nixon Korir and Mariga we greeted (tongue in cheek) by some few people and they are going around complaining.

"Let me tell you the truth. The next time we'll greet them, they will run away," he stated.

Arati also disclosed that he had been informed that some of their competitors have been buying IDs from the residents.

"I went to see a friend in Karen yesterday and I was reliably informed that our people are being given Ksh500 in exchange for their IDs.

"Shame on you. Don't leave your ID for a mere Ksh500. Instead, look for me and I'll give you that money. I'm ready," Osoro added.

The Kibra parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth after battling colorectal cancer.

On August 14, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that the by-election would be held on Monday, November 7.
