K24 TV Anchor Exposes Ex-colleague for Faking Cancer [VIDEO]

A K24 TV news anchor, on Saturday, October 26, prepared a report about a woman who had faked cancer for a while only for her to admit it was all a lie.

In the report that aired on prime time show Weekend With Betty, news anchor Anjlee Gadhvi exposed Patricia Warugi who had faked the disease to gain sympathy.

In the video, the station kept showing a number of images of the Warugi at Mediamax offices suggesting that she was an employee at the institution. A photo that we found on K24 TV's Facebook handle also insinuated that she was part of the workforce.

The report started with Warugi recounting how she suffered shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer and the turmoil it caused to her and her family.

She even revealed that it had grown so serious that at some point, she was asked to terminate her pregnancy if she wanted to survive since her kidneys were too weak to support it.

"We do checks and I have the polycystic ovarian syndrome. It is a condition where the ovary has excess cysts. I had so many in my system that they needed surgery to remove them.

“The first day (after the treatment), my mother was helping me…You don’t even have the energy to comprehend what is happening, you feel death, the taste of metal in your mouth, you want to vomit…it is horrible,” she narrated.

So serious was the disease that she considered cancelling her upcoming wedding but the Human Resource Manager adviced her otherwise. She claimed that she had to endure Chemotherapy for three weeks during her honeymoon.

She went on to add that she suffered from the disease for a while and had gone through rigorous treatment until she was healed.

Her narration moved Anjlee to a point she got a make-up team to style her because that was her biggest dream.

Shortly after the report was filed, however, Warugi was ready to change the script and admit that she had lied about the whole disease because it was considered the 'it disease'. She even asked Anjlee not to run the story just days to the scheduled date prompting the anchor to change the title.

"I am a compulsive liar... When you are a liar, compulsive or pathological, you are a good liar. You have no choice but to keep up the appearances and to remember what you said and when you said it.

"The thing with cancer is that it has become the 'it disease'... Cancer is the biggest lie I have told," she stated.
