Junet Mohamed Unearths DP Ruto's Secret Plans for Mariga

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed on Monday, October 28, claimed that Deputy President William Ruto was actively seeking to buy out McDonald Mariga's opponents in the November 7, Kibra by-elections.

The vocal legislator made the startling claims via a statement which he shared across his official social media accounts.

"The DP  is negotiating with one of the NASA affiliate parties to step down their candidate for Mariga. The amount demanded is huge and hence the negotiations are taking a bit long," read a section of the MP's statement.

Similar allegations were made by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi back on October 13, while campaigning for his party's candidate Eliud Owalo, where he went on to state that Ruto's Karen residence was being misused as a campaign venue.

“IEBC has a tainted image from the 2017 elections and they should wake up. How comes Deputy President has forgotten that Karen residence is a state resource and should not be used for the campaign.

“Why is IEBC silent when money is being dished out to all and sundry in Karen residence? Ruto should know the house is built with public resources and not his personal resources. We want Kibra polls to be free and fair, we don't want bribery,” Mudavadi was quoted by The Standard.

Junet went on to assure Kenyans of any developments regarding his damning claims, going on to allege that prominent lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi was being used as the chief negotiator in the shady deal.

"We shall update Kenyans when the deal is done. Transactional advisor Ahmednasir how far?" he posed.

The Senior Counsel was quick to rubbish the claims, going on to state that the entire allegations were just a baseless joke.

"Honourable Junet, you make me laugh," he posted on the legislator's twitter page.
