According to K24 TV, his widow, Sarah Cohen filed an application demanding that she be granted permission to access her Kitisuru home in Nairobi's suburbs.

He asked to be allowed to collect her clothes, shoes, vehicle and other crucial belongings.

In an oral application filed through her lawyer Philip Murgor, Sarah argued that she had been spending a lot of money new clothes.

“She’s had to buy clothes, shoes, and accessories. She needs to take these items from her bedroom all be released to her as a matter of urgency, ” Murgor pleaded.

The widow also complained about having to survive on lifts from relatives. She also decried that she also used cab services which again forced her to dig deep into her pockets.

Sarah argued that her vehicle was not part of the investigations, and therefore, ought to be released to her.

“We are asking the court to grant the accused person permission to get her personal car which has never featured in this case, she has had to purchase clothes and ask for lifts from friends and relatives which is expensive,” the court heard.

State prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki, however, objected to the application pointing out that everything in the Kitisuru house was treated as part of the exhibit in Tob’s murder case, and therefore, should not be tampered with.

Justice Stella Mutuku asked Murgor to file a formal application that will be heard on Tuesday, November 5.

Sarah was on Friday, October 11, released on a Ksh2 million cash bail or Ksh4 million bond with the court issuing three tough conditions for her release.

She was ordered not to set foot at the residence in question which was declared a crime scene.
