Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa on Friday, November 1, claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga did not honour a pre-election agreement that he had signed with leaders from Kilifi County.
According to the fiery legislator, Odinga had asked them to drum up support for him in the region in exchange for a slot at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
However, this was not to be as the party picked the AU envoy's elder brother Oburu Odinga.
Jumwa went on to allege that Odinga had also nominated his cronies in the county assembly.
"We voted for him a hundred per cent. I was one of them. After the elections, Raila and his team brought girls from Kisumu to make laws in Kilifi County Assembly.
"That is a big insult. Kingi should not pretend like he is not seeing what is happening," she remarked.
The Malindi MP also noted that most of the leaders from Kilifi County were not serving the electorate but singing praises for Odinga.
"Their agenda is to heap praises on one person while their constituents languish in poverty, have bad roads and no food," she added.
Further, she blasted Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi for neglecting his constituents, adding that he had instituted laws which were hurting the youth.
