Kameme TV Presenter Rehired After Public Demand

Four days after an angered Kameme FM audience took to social media to complain about the firing of their favourite radio and TV presenter Njuguna Gicheha, popularly known as Man Nyari, he has been rehired.

Announcing the good news to his listeners on Wednesday, November 6, Man Nyari thanked them for their continued support and prayers that secured his job.

"When God speaks, all the other things are irrelevant. The Lord heard your prayers. Some of you people have fasted for this program and I thank you so much and that is why on Saturday I will be back on Kameme FM and TV.

"We are on, we are back with a bang. I am welcoming all of you guys. Invite a friend to invite a friend so that we can have a show together. I cannot have a show without you," Man Nyari stated in a live broadcast on Facebook.

Further, he thanked the Mediamax management for reconsidering to rehire him.

"May God bless you so much for listening to my audience," he stated.

The radio presenter was among the 160 Mediamax Network Limited employees who received termination letters on Wednesday, October 30.

On Saturday, November 2, he had been replaced by Wamucii Wa Kinyari, who hosts ‘Rwiga rwa Kiroho’ much to the displeasure of the audience that was expressed on social media.

"I love Kameme but I'm really disappointed in you, trust me this will be a big blow to Kameme!!," Monica Ngigi stated.

"If you don't recall Man Nyari we shall no longer listen to this program," Moses Mutha had threatened.

"This is not what we are used to from Man Nyari. Am so disappointed, Man Nyari all the way," Jose Mbugua commented.
