Moha Jicho Pevu Reveals Biggest Frustration Since Becoming MP [VIDEO]

Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali on Wednesday, November 11, opened up about frustrations he was undergoing as a first-time MP in the Mombasa region.

Speaking in his Nyali backyard where he had gone to launch a football tournament for his constituency, Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu, admitted that he had suffered in hands of his MCAs.

"As Nyali MP, I have five MCAs, but I do not know some of them. They have been told that if they are seen with Mohammed Ali, they will lose their jobs," he revealed.

Mohammed Ali on his arrival in Nyali on Wednesday, November 21.

He further narrated how his MCAs had been knowingly giving his events a wide berth and had absconded on their duties making his work even harder.

"An MCA's duty is to tell me what is ailing the ward because he is the one on the ground, but three years now, MCAs are not telling me your problems. I have to walk from place to place seeking a means to solve your problems," Ali lamented.

The Nyali MP also made it clear that he was afraid of what would transpire should the BBI report be adopted by the President.

He stated that he took issue with what he claimed was a clause in the report that called for development funds that have all along been allocated to MPs to be moved into the MCA's docket.

This provision, he stated would give the already powerful legislators more power and would only exacerbate the problems that they already had between each other.

Ali also warned the area residents that BBI was set on returning the country to the days where one powerful Provincial Commissioner (PC) was the unchallenged law in the entire region.

"If we have only one governor in the county and we cannot get the services we need, how do you think things would be if we had only one governor for the entire region?" he posed.
