47 Students Injured As Suspected Assailant Storm Their School

About 47 students at Lodwar Girls’ Secondary School were seriously injured, Saturday night after a suspected assailant stormed the school.

The suspect is said to have attacked and stabbed the school watchman, causing a scuffle which triggered panic among the students, Citizen News reports.

According to one of the injured student Namoru Augustine, a stampede that caused injuries, resulted attracting the nearby villagers who came to the girls rescue.

The unknown suspect however managed to escape.

Close to 100 students were received at the Lodwar County Referal Hospital, but only 47 students and the school watchman had serious injuries.



The students have since returned to school as investigations into the matter continue.
