Gladys Wanga Raises Alarm After Ruto Allies Threaten Matiang'i [VIDEO]

Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga led a contingent of ODM MPs to raise alarm over the allegations that their colleagues allied to Deputy President Willam Ruto had threatened the life of CS Fred Matiang' i.

In a video shared online on Wednesday, December 4, the MPs stated that they were worried by the threats by Tanga Tanga leaders on public servants.

Wanga claimed that Ruto allies had told CS Matiang'i to learn from the fates of former cabinet secretaries who held the same post, Joseph Nkaissery and George Saitoti.

“Some of the DP associates have asked CS Matiangi and PS Kibicho to learn from the fates of the late Professor George Saitoti and Joseph Nkaissery.

“These are very loaded and desperate warnings which should not be wished away, ” she stated during a press briefing.

Both Nkaissery and Saitoti died in controversial circumstances with Saitoti dying in a June 10, 2012, helicopter crash that was the subject of an investigative expose by then KTN reporter, Mohamed Ali, while Nkaiserry died July 8, 2017, at the Karen Hospital after collapsing at his home.

In the same breath, the legislator also warned the DP to learn from previous vice presidents who had ambitions to become head of states and how they worked with their bosses.

“For this, he must face the president and not the civil servants, ” Wanga added.

On Friday, November 29, while speaking at a fundraiser in Kirinyaga County, Matiang’ i stated that he only took orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I want to inform politicians who claim that Kibicho is out to frustrate them that the two of us are public servants and we work for everyone. That’s our mandate as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Matiang’ i stated while defending his PS Karanja Kibicho from attacks by Ruto allies.

In response, former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale warned the CS against disrespecting the DP as (Matiang'i) had been appointed by both the DP and the president.
