Intimate Photos of Selena Gomez's Secret Trip to Kenya

On December 11, it was revealed that American songstress Selena Gomez had made a private trip to Kenya in what was reported to be a charity mission.

The 'Look at Her Now' hitmaker had spent almost 10 days in the country without attracting any media attention on a trip facilitated by international NGO identified as the WE Foundation - an educational partner operating on collaborative programs globally.

Days later, the pop star took to Instagram explaining why she flew under the radar.

"I have so much to share about my trip to Kenya. I wanted to be in every single moment so I’ll share so much more when I get home. This trip was about others, which makes it way more meaningful. Serving is the greatest gift.

"I will share so many of these stories and voices. Voices need to be heard. We are working on something so special that will hopefully change so many lives. This is all I can post for now," she disclosed on Instagram.

The works undertaken by the organization impressed Selena and her friend Raquelle Stevens, who took to social media to explain the impact that the Kenyan tour made in their lives.

"During one of our afternoons, we had the opportunity to bead jewellery with a group of local mamas. Even though we didn't speak the same language, we had the best time together and were able to connect through eye contact, smiles, laughter and hugs.

"We also visited two of the WE schools. The secondary girls school and the WE college, where we were moved by the stories we heard and inspired by the intelligent, confident girls we got to spend time with," Raquelle stated.

American actress Natalie Portman was also on the trip to Kenya where she engaged in some of the programs run by the organization.

"Loved spending Thanksgiving with the brilliant young women of Kisaruni High School and WE college in Kenya — doing a little construction for a new building at the college. So grateful to meet such creative, motivated, funny, warm, intelligent young people. They fill me with hope for our future," Natalie posted on her Instagram on December 4.
