Man Abandons Wedding to Meet Citizen TV Journalists [VIDEO]

Citizen TV on Wednesday, December 25, shared a video of Jeff Koinange's 250km journey to the heart of Baringo, where he sought to hand over a special gift to a trio of dancing boys whose video had become an overnight internet sensation.

Accompanied by fellow news anchor Rashid Abdalla and his Hot 96 breakfast show co-host professor Hamo, Jeff tracked the trio to Nkoipiriri village in Baringo county.

The three boys have since been identified as Kevin Lekimariki, Andrea Lanapir, and Lepasiron Lakachuma.

Interestingly, Kevin Lekimariki's dad - Jonathan, was set to get married on the day the three journalists arrived at their village, but he quickly abandoned his wedding festivities and made his way to meet the journalists who had travelled from the city to see his son.

The three media personalities were given a homely welcome as they joined the famous trio in their traditional dance.

According to Jeff's report, the three boys all came from poor backgrounds with little hope for a brighter future, going on to reveal that none of them had ever owned a pair of shoes.

"That's why we decided to bring them a little Christmas cheer thanks to donations from various Kenyans. Nothing can compare to the joy and smiles of these kids' faces," the celebrated journalist narrated.

The Royal Media Service journalists went on to distribute several bags of food, shoes, doors, windows, and mattresses to serve the locals who had been living in makeshift houses and sleeping on makeshift beds that offered little comfort.

The story of the three little dancers went viral across the country, leading to Jeff's decision to track them down over the Christmas period, to deliver gifts sent out by Kenyans from all over the country.
