Alice Wahome's Attack on Raila Lands Her New Enemy [VIDEO]

Kandara MP Alice Wahome's disparaging remarks towards ODM leader Raila Odinga landed her in trouble with Likoni MP Mishi Mboko.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke on January 6, 2020, Mboko is seen castigating Wahome over her reference to Odinga as a mercenary for hire.

“Raila Odinga is Uhuru's new political mercenary for hire, and the BBI report is the special-purpose vehicle heading to the route that has been suggested by Murathe, Atwoli and Beth Mugo,” she had stated in her castigation of Murathe's declaration that Uhuru would make a comeback in 2022 as prime minister.

Mboko, did not take the claims by her fellow legislator against her party leader lying down.

"I am greatly disappointed in Alice Wahome. Instead of concentrating on the affairs of the residents of Kandara who elected her, she is busy dragging Raila's name into her political mess," she stated.

Mboko praised her achievements in Likoni, where she stated that she had organised, amongst other things, bursaries and the construction of a secondary school all while, in her view, Wahome was on the road playing politics.

"Quit calling Raila a mercenary. He is a leader that is known not only in Kenya but in the world in entirety. Don't get thinking that Odinga is the kind of man that you will go about calling names and walk scot-free," she quipped.

Mboko also took issue with Wahome's description of the Uhuru-Raila partnership as a threat to democratic gains achieved by Kenya's third president Mwai Kibaki stating that Odinga was well-known for championing democracy.

"Who does not know that Raila made Kibaki the President in 2002? Raila is the one that said Kibaki Tosha (Kibaki is good enough) and everybody voted him in," she argued.

Mboko advised the Kandara legislator to rather pick a fight with her, arguing that Raila was a much more senior political leader way above her level as Member of Parliament.
